Rachel Bayliss Singing Teacher BMUS in Vocals from Canterbury University

I have been teaching singing in Christchurch for 20 years with a particular interest and skill in supporting hesitant singers. Usually I run lessons in line with the school terms and celebrate the end of each season with a concert where people have the option to perform the songs they've been working with.

This year (April 2022 - April 2023) I am in Sydney doing some volunteer work, so I'm not offering lessons sorry.

You are welcome to lodge your interest in lessons on my return by emailing songbird1nz@yahoo.co.nz

For a great list of local teachers check out NZ Music Teachers | Learn from NZ's Most Talented Music Teachers

I also usually run 2 community choirs - and these are continuing in my absence:

The Christchurch Community Choir meet at 175 Peterborough St in Christchurch city on Thursday nights, 6.30pm - 8pm. They sing a wide range of world music in four parts for the fun of it. No auditions, suggested $$ is $10 waged and $7 unwaged. Email Ian iannliz@xtra.co.nz

The Harbour Singers meet in the green room of the Diamond Harbour Hall in Diamond Harbour on Wednesday nights 7pm - 8.30pm. Their new conductor is Thomas Proctor. For more info contact Margie on 03 329 3090 or 022 341 7235
